Lindsey Bell is from Corpus Christi, Texas, and moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas. With an interest in counseling, she obtained a degree in Human Relations and began her extensive work with families and children. In 2007, she became increasingly interested in childbirth as she began to hear inspirational stories of Austin women enjoying and treasuring their birth experiences. She apprenticed with a local licensed midwife to learn more about the process of normal birth and found herself falling naturally into the doula role--providing emotional, physical, and informational support for women and their partners throughout pregnancy and birth. Additionally certified as a doula by DONA International, Lindsey now supports women in all birth settings and circumstances--hospital, birth center, and home; natural, medicated, and surgical.
Lindsey is a peaceful, nurturing, and intuitive presence with a true reverence for pregnancy and birth, and a loving admiration for women and their partners experiencing this sacred season. She, her husband, and her daughter live in North-Central Austin, where they are ever-cultivating a simple life and rich existence.
