Before the birth, Lindsey:
• is on call for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week as your personal doula
• meets with you at least two times to help you prepare for the birth you desire
• gives you access to her referral list and lending library

When you begin labor, Lindsey:
• arrives at your home or birth place when you feel you need her and remains with you continuously throughout your entire labor
• provides emotional support, physical comfort, and non-clinical advice to help your labor progress optimally
• draws on her knowledge and experience as she reassures, encourages, and comforts you
• remains sensitive to your partner’s needs, and willing to offer them advice on ways to support you

After the birth, Lindsey:
• rejoices with you!
• stays for an hour or two to ensure your comfort and smooth transition, while offering you space to be alone with your new family if you desire
• helps you establish breastfeeding with your new baby
• meets with you after a few days postpartum to make sure you are adjusting well and to thoughtfully revisit your birth experience together
• brings a typed birth story for your baby
